* What is the IP68 protection level test
The IP protection level is composed of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of the electrical appliance against dust and foreign objects. The second number indicates the degree of airtightness of the electrical appliance against moisture and water immersion. The larger the number, the higher the degree of protection.
The IP68 protection level test is the shell protection test with the most severe test level and the highest level in the GB4208/IEC60529 standard and has stricter requirements on the design of the product itself.

GB/T 4208-2017, IEC 60529:1989+A1:1999+A2:2013, EN 60529:1992+A1:2000+A2:2013 "Enclosure Protection Class (IP Code)"
The standard applies to the protection classification test of electrical equipment whose rated voltage does not exceed 72.5kV and which is protected by means of an enclosure.
* Test method for IP68 protection level of the smart water meter
The test basis is tested according to GB/T4208-2008/IEC60529:2001 IP code test standard of enclosure protection level.
The IP68 protection level test includes the IP6X dustproof test and IPX8 waterproof test.
IP6X dustproof test: The product shell needs to be evacuated and put in a sand and dust test box for 8 hours.
IPX8 waterproof test: the test water depth is 1.3 meters, and the test is 24 hours.
