Common Sense of Electric Energy Meter

Electric energy meter classification

1. According to the structure and working principle, it is divided into inductive electric energy meter and electronic electric energy meter. Electronic energy meters can be further divided into fully electronic energy meters and electromechanical pulse energy meters.

2. According to the accuracy level: ordinary level: 0.2S, 0.2, 0.5S, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, used to measure electric energy. Precision grade: 0.01, 0.05 grade, mainly used as the calibration benchmark for calibrating ordinary grade electric energy meters.

3. According to the purpose:

1) Active energy meter.

2) Reactive energy meter.

3) Maximum demand table.

4) Tariff energy meter.

5) Multifunctional electric energy meter.

(6) According to the nature of the access power supply, it can be divided into: AC energy meter and DC energy meter.

(7) According to the installation and wiring method of the meter, it can be divided into direct access type and indirect access type (connected via mutual inductor); among them, due to different measurement circuits, they are usually divided into single-phase electric energy meters, three-phase three-wire meters Electric energy meter and three-phase four-wire electric energy meter.

(8) According to the length of the average life, the single-phase inductive electric energy meter is divided into ordinary type and long-life technical electric energy meter.

Precautions in use:

1. Ordinary metering electric energy meter. Do not use overloaded electricity. Overloading electricity for a long time will make the measurement inaccurate until the meter burns out.

2. Prepaid electric energy meter. Pay attention to the alarm prompt of the meter and purchase electricity in time. To understand the basic characteristics of the prepaid electric energy meter, such as: "overload" will automatically power off and various error prompts on the meter, and you should keep abreast of the operation of your electric meter at any time, and contact the management department in time if you find any problems.

3. Multifunctional electric energy meter. You should know the electricity prices at different time periods, try to avoid peak areas, and use low-cost electricity more.

4. Do not use overloaded power when using the bus-type remote transmission energy meter and the power carrier remote transmission energy meter.
