What You Don't Know About Smart Meters?
Now that smart energy meters are very common, do you know some of the situations we encounter when using smart energy meters? For example, do smart energy meters need to be maintained at their own expense? Will there be quality problems?
Smart energy meters are our newest energy meters. For electricity customers who have already read meters to their homes, their newly installed, rotated or renovated energy meters are funded by the power supply department, and customers are not required to pay meter fees.
Each of our electric meters, from production to installation, has to go through 7 barriers before and after.
Three of them are controlled by production enterprises, including meter calibration, secondary inspection and sampling inspection before leaving the factory. The other three passes are completed by the quality supervision department, including random inspection during the production process, mandatory inspection after leaving the field, and inspection before installation at home.
After these tests are completed, the factory lead seal and certificate of conformity will be added to the meter.
Meter readers no longer need to go to the site to read meters. They can directly collect the electricity consumption of customers remotely through the meter reading system.
In the past, the old mechanical meters were not connected to the Internet, so meter readers were required to go door-to-door to read meters. Now that smart meters are fully covered, this traditional meter reading method will naturally disappear.
The minimum current value that can be detected by a smart energy meter is 0.025A, which is very accurate. Even a little electricity can be measured, so some cute people will have the illusion that "smart energy meters go faster".
The above is what the editor of the remote meter reading system shared with us about some of the problems we encountered when using smart energy meters. If you are not sure, you can contact us at any time.
