Tips for Improving the Power Generation of a Solar Power System
How to improve the power generation of a solar power system?
1. The inclination of the installation of solar modules
The direction angle of the solar module is usually due to the south position, so as to maximize the power generation per unit capacity of the solar power generation system. As long as it is within ±20° of due south, it will not cause great harm to the power generation. If the environment allows, it should be 20° to the southwest as far as possible.
2. Solar module efficiency and quality
Calculation method: Theoretical power generation = annual solar radiation × installed capacity × system efficiency.
There are two factors here, battery area and photoelectric conversion efficiency. The conversion efficiency here directly affects the power generation of the power station.
Component collocation loss
However, any series connection will cause current loss due to the current gap of the components. Any parallel connection will cause voltage loss due to the voltage difference of the components. The loss will reach more than 8%.
Ensure good ventilation of components
According to the data, when the temperature rises by 1°C, the power of the crystalline silicon solar module decreases by about 0.3%. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the influence of temperature on power generation and maintain a better ventilation environment.
The loss of dust should not be underestimated
The panel of the crystalline silicon module is tempered glass. During long-term exposure, organic matter and a large amount of dust will of course accumulate. The dust on the surface blocks the light, which will reduce the output efficiency of the module and directly endanger the power generation.
In addition, it will cause a "hot spot" effect of the component, causing component damage. Rainwater can be cleaned without special maintenance, and if it encounters adhering dirt, simple cleaning is enough.
3. Reduce line loss
In a solar system, cables make up a small part. Because the damage of cables to power generation cannot be underestimated, it is recommended that the line loss of the DC and AC circuits of the system be controlled within 5%.
The cables in the system should be done well, the insulation performance of the cable, the high temperature resistance and flame retardant performance of the cable, the moisture-proof and light-proof properties of the cable, the type of the cable core, and the size of the cable.
