5. Pay attention to the following points when choosing an air switch

a. Select the type and number of poles of the automatic air switch according to the application.

b. Select the rated current of the automatic air switch according to the maximum working current.

c. Select the type of trip unit, types, and specifications of accessories as required.

d. Pay attention to the protection characteristics of the upper and lower switches and cooperate reasonably to prevent jumping trips.

6. Selection of rated current value of air switch

For the selection of air switches for lighting circuits, the rated current of the air switches should be between 1.05 ~ 1.1 times the working current of the circuit.

For the air switch that controls the motor, the rated current of the air switch is between 1.2-1.5 times the circuit current.
