How to Maintain PV Power Station after Snow?
1. To prevent the components from freezing, it is generally recommended not to wait until the snow is too thick before cleaning.
2. Don't use hot water to clean the panels as uneven cooling and heat will seriously damage the photovoltaic panels.
3. Use soft objects to push the snow down, being careful not to scratch the glass, which will reduce the light transmitted amount. Using a tennis ball to gently bounce and vibrate on the inclined PV panel to make the snow slide down would be a good way.
4. Don't step on the components even if they have a certain load-bearing capacity as it will cause cracks or damage to the components and affect the life of components.
5. If you clean, then do it thoroughly. Small trip-shaped snow will cause the overall panel to fail, resulting in a significant reduction in power generation efficiency.
It is recommended to use spray icer remover to prevent twice freeze and not hurt the surface of components.
Our solar power remote monitoring system will help you to monitor the power generation in real-time. If power generation is down to a certain extent, you could the data on the dashboard and receive an alarm message to remind the manager to clean the job.
