Can Cell Phones Cause Cancer? Even If It Can, You Can't Live Without It! (3)

Mobile phone cancer theory

But I believe that there are still many people who are not convinced, because for every report that excuses the mobile phone, there will be a report that blames the mobile phone. In 2011, the World Health Organization (WTO) classified mobile phones as a carcinogen equivalent to lead, engine exhaust, and chloroform. In the same year, a study in the United States also pointed out that there is a correlation between the increase in the incidence of brain tumors and the number of mobile phone users, and even believes that this indicator can be used to evaluate the future.

Back in 2012, an Italian court ruled that long-term mobile phone use caused 60-year-old Innocente Marcolini to develop a brain tumor. In 2013, a small Israeli study showed that 20 minutes of cell phone use a day increased cancer risk. In mid-2014, a French report found that people who use their mobile phones more than 15 hours a month will have an increased risk of brain cancer over time.

The situation can be even more frightening if one broadens the horizon beyond the realm of science. You may have seen some articles comparing cell phones to cigarettes. It is also reported that doctors at the cancer center have warned employees to use cell phones less because of the potential risks. There are even more documents and websites claiming that telecommunications companies deliberately cover up potential risks, just as Big Tobacco deliberately downplays the dangers of smoking.
