And LoRa is common in wireless communication technology. Remote meter reading has become an important part of the smart grid.

Compared with the complex and troublesome wiring of traditional meters and reading data, the demand for wireless technology has emerged as the times require. With the development of low-power wide-area connectivity requirements of the Internet of Things, LoRa technology has also brought new opportunities to our meter's IoT wireless solutions. Due to the openness of LoRa, various business models have been formed in market applications.

The existing electric meter communication mode is mainly through RS485, Ethernet, or Profibus communication. This communication method requires a special line connection, and the high cost of wiring is not conducive to large-scale popularization and use. Relying on 4G, NB, and other wireless communication technologies can reduce wiring costs. AS its communication range is only suitable for base station wireless communication and the cost is high, it is not suitable anywhere that meter installation sites are widely distributed.

Using LoRa communication meter, not only has the characteristics of wide coverage, low communication cost, high efficiency, real-time transmission, etc. but also improves the standardization of management of meter reading business, solves the weak point of cumbersome wiring, and solves the problem of difficult management of distribution and distribution.


Application of Lora Energy Meter in Substation


The LoRa communication instrument can not only be connected to the monitoring host through wired communication but also can be connected to the safety power management cloud platform or other cloud platforms through LORA communication, which is convenient for managers to maintain all places where electrical safety products are installed.

The LoRa communication instrument is installed in the drawer cabinet of the substation, which can not only detect the electrical parameters and electric energy of each circuit in real-time, but also eliminate the communication connection with the back of the system, communicate with the gateway of the incoming cabinet through LoRa, and upload it to the background.
