Advantages of Solar Power Remote Monitoring System

Solar power remote monitoring systems include the solar data acquisition system and dashboard. Our solar data acquisition system deploys the newest network with high-level security technology. It is an integrated operation system with many functions such as data monitoring, data analysis, fault alarm, historical statistics, etc. The visualized and safe system was developed by Dalian Linshu Electronics Co., Ltd, and has been formed from the photovoltaic panel, the inverter end to the user interface end. Compared to the traditional system, it has several advantages:

1. Low deployment. Generally speaking, the solar inverter needs to be equipped with a data transfer card (SIM card), one card for each inverter, which results in high maintenance costs and high flow costs. Dalian Linshu Electron Co., Ltd adopts the latest development of IoT technology, no need to configure the data transfer card for each inverter and uses the IoT technology to connect to the gateway. One gateway can connect with thousands of inverters. The longest distance for one gateway could reach 8 km (in the ideal condition), thus reducing the deployment of gateways and traffic cards.

2. Low cost of maintenance. After the traditional solution is put into use, it is found that the more complex and huger the hardware system is, the higher the maintenance cost will be. Linshu solution requires less gateway investment and almost no traffic costs for each individual data transfer node. Advanced and concise network structure and less equipment reduce the total number of hardware failures, thereby saving maintenance costs and labor costs.

3. Not affected by network updates. The data network (Cellular) has experienced the development process from 2G, 3G, 4G to 5G. According to China’s experience, when the data network is upgraded from 3G to 4G, there will be no signal or signal is unstable on the previous 3G network. In the field of photovoltaic information collection, the traditional 4G solution currently installs 4G modem equipment and chip cards in each inverter. When the network transitions to 5G and popularizes, photovoltaic power plants will also have to invest a lot of hardware upgrade costs. To deal with the upgrade of thousands or even tens of thousands of network devices, otherwise, it will not be available. Our IoT grid photovoltaic collection system avoids this potential risk from technology and structure. The design and operation life of a photovoltaic power station is generally at least several decades. Even if it is upgraded to 6G in the future, the number of hardware upgrades of our system is very limited, and the cost and workload are only a fraction or even a tenth of the traditional solution.

4. High security of data. Linshu data acquisition system can synchronize storage of cloud server and local server data. Our high-level network technology ensures data transfer wok normally whenever the 4G is unstable or it is limited by the local server.

5. Stable signal. Our network deploys double channel

Our network uses a dual-channel backup design. According to the actual situation on site, the gateway can use WAN or 4G for networking. When the WAN link is dropped, it will be automatically and seamlessly replaced with 4G to ensure the real-time and stability of data transmission. At the same time, the data transmission part from the inverter to the gateway adopts the self-organized network technology developed by our company, without WAN link and 4G network, data transmission is not affected by the local network, and the stability of data transmission is improved to the greatest extent.

6. Data transmission security. The data packet is encrypted by AES-128 bit, and the node dual-identity authentication mechanism is not only unbreakable in terms of technical algorithm, but also uses the insurmountable physical environment such as time, space, and device chip to prevent interception and tampering in the process of data transmission.
