Why Does the Water Meter Sometimes Run Without the Use of Water?

The reasons for the rotation of the water meter can generally be classified into two categories:

One is caused by the fluctuation of pipeline pressure. In general, the physical properties exhibited are incompressible, but in the tap water pipeline, the pipeline pressure is high, and then the water will show certain compressibility. In tap water pipelines, pressure fluctuations are inevitable, but the resulting water meter rotation is generally small.

The second is due to the presence of air pockets in the pipeline behind the watch. If the exhaust valve on the pipeline is not set properly, the gas cannot be discharged well. In this way, if there is no water in the home for a long time or the pipe design is unreasonable, air pockets will be generated at the highest point or protruding point of the pipe in the home. As we all know, the compressibility of gas is very high. At this time, if there are pressure fluctuations on the pipe network, the space expansion and contraction in the pipeline behind the meter will be very large, resulting in a large amount of rotation of the water meter.
