What Should Be Paid Attention to When Installing a Smart Water Meter?
---Did you get caught up in these questions?
Whether it is the installation of new residential buildings or the use of rural renovations, smart water meters are the first choice of many water supply units. With the remote meter reading system, they can remotely read data at any time, monitor water consumption information, and take corresponding measures in time for abnormal data. There is no need for the meter reader to come to the door to read the meter manually. Direct remote transmission, high accuracy of data upload, convenient use, convenient water work measurement, improve work efficiency, but also reduce labor costs. So, what should you pay attention to when installing a smart water meter? Let me tell you in detail.
1. Water meter diameter: choose a water meter with a suitable diameter. The diameter of the water meter should be selected according to the diameter of the pipeline at the installation site and the flow rate is equal to less than the common flow rate of the water meter. Secondly, to ensure the stability of the water meter measurement, there should be a straight pipe section several times the diameter of the meter before and after the meter.
2. Installation location: Choose a location that is easy to disassemble, easy to read the measurement data of the water meter, and avoid exposure to rain, flooding, pollution, and external electromagnetic interference. Try to choose a dry place without direct sunlight to improve the service life of the water meter. When the temperature is below zero, in addition to thermal insulation of the water meter and water pipe, the valve at the inlet of the water meter should be closed when no water is used. And open the drain valve and the faucet at the outlet to prevent the water in the water meter from freezing and swelling and damage.
3. During installation: sand and gravel and other sundries should be avoided from entering the water meter pipeline, causing the metering failure. For accurate measurement, the outlet pipe should be installed at least 0.5 meters above the water meter. And a valve should be installed on the pipe in front of the water meter to cut off the water supply when the water meter has been removed. The water meter should not be directly connected to the pipeline, and there should be pipe joints, connecting nuts and connecting gaskets between the water meter and the pipeline.
4. When disassembling the water meter, do not use brute force to avoid damage to the water meter. During installation, the water flow indicator arrow on the case must be in the same direction as the water flow. The installation method must be installed horizontally or vertically as indicated on the reading plate of the water meter, with the dial facing up. When installing a water meter near a boiler or solar water heater, it is also necessary to prevent the backflow of hot water from causing damage to the water meter.
The installation of smart water meters is relatively simple and is basically the same as that of ordinary mechanical water meters. Each watch has corresponding lead seal protection. If the lead seal is found to be damaged, the user should immediately contact the administrator to deal with it.
