The Frequency Quality of Power Supply Index

Power supply quality refers to power quality and power supply reliability. If the quality of the power supply is not up to standard, the performance of the electrical equipment will deteriorate. Deviation of frequency.

Frequency deviation refers to the degree to which the actual frequency of the electrical energy provided by the power system to the user deviates from the rated frequency. Frequency deviation is generally expressed as a percentage of the difference between the actual frequency and the rated frequency or the ratio of the difference to the rated frequency. The allowable value of the normal frequency deviation of the power system is ±0.2Hz.

Hazards of Frequency Drops

When the active power required exceeds, the active power supplied, the frequency will drop. The hazards of frequency drop are:

(1) Cause the steam turbine blades of the power plant to break due to resonance, and in severe cases, the generator will be forced to stop.

(2) Cause the speed of the motor to drop, and it cannot run at the rated speed.

(3) Cause product unit consumption to rise and product quality to decline;

(4) Cause some automatic equipment to not work properly.

(5) It has a serious impact on the quality of communications, radio, and television.
