Operating Voltage of Each Light-Emitting Diode of Household LED Lights

The working voltage of each light-emitting diode of household LED lights is distinguished by the color of the light:

Generally, the working voltage of white, green and blue LED lamp beads is about 3V~3.3V, and the working voltage of red and yellow LED lamp beads is about 2V.

Home Lighting LED lamps are generally used in series with multiple LED lamp beads, such as 50 pieces of 3V LED lamp beads in series, and their working voltage is 50*3V=150V.

If the power supply voltage is DC 180V and the working current of the LED light is 20mA, the resistance value of the current limiting resistor should be connected in series:

R= (180-150) ÷ 20mA=1500Ω,

the power of the resistor P=I²R=UI=30V*20mA=0.6 W.
