Learn About the Air Switch (1)
The air switch (automatic air circuit breaker) is believed to be a low-voltage electrical device that is familiar to many electrical workers. The application of air switches is very extensive. It is no exaggeration to say that almost any switchboard and control cabinet is inseparable from the air switch. So how much do you really know about air switches?
1. The function of the automatic air switch
The automatic air switch, also known as the automatic air circuit breaker, is a very important electrical appliance in the low-voltage distribution network and the power drag system. It combines control and multiple protection functions in one.
In addition to contacting and breaking the circuit, it can also protect the short circuit, severe overload, and under voltage of the circuit or electrical equipment in time. At the same time, it can also be used to start the motor infrequently.
2. Features of air switch
The automatic air switch has the advantages of safe operation, convenient use, reliable operation, simple installation, and no need to replace components (such as melt) after action (such as short-circuit fault elimination). Therefore, it is widely used in industry, residential, and so on.
The automatic air switch has two protection functions overload and short circuit. When the circuit is overloaded, short-circuited, voltage loss, and other faults, it can automatically trip, and under normal circumstances, it can be used to infrequently switch on and off the circuit and control the start and stop of the motor.
There are two types of automatic air switches: DW series (called frame type or universal type) and DZ series (called plastic shell type or device type). DW series is mainly used as a protection switch for power distribution networks and the infrequent switching circuit under normal working conditions. DZ series is used as the protection switch of the power distribution network and can also be used as the control switch of the motor and lighting circuit.
