How To Install the Water Meter?

1. During the transportation or installation of the water meter, it is forbidden to throw, touch, drop or smash it, so as not to damage the water meter.

2. Water meter installation must consider that the water pressure and water temperature used on site are within the maximum operating pressure and maximum operating temperature of the water meter.

3. The installation location of the water meter should be a place that is convenient for disassembly and meter reading and should be protected from exposure to sunlight and freezing. Before installing the water meter, a valve should be installed to facilitate water-cut maintenance and disassembly and installation of the water meter.

4. According to the installation requirements, H on the dial or nameplate represents horizontal installation, and V represents vertical installation. The dial must not point downwards or be inclined, and the direction of the arrow on the case should be in the same direction as the water flow. The water meter should be installed coaxially with the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections. At the same time, the straight pipe section should ensure 10 times the diameter of the water meter in front of the meter and 5 times the diameter of the water meter behind the meter to avoid inaccurate measurement.

5. Before installing the water meter, the stones, sediment, and other debris in the pipeline should be removed to prevent the water meter from being damaged or malfunctioning. If there is much debris in the pipeline or the water quality is poor, a filter can be installed on the pipeline. The filter should be checked and cleaned frequently, and the accumulated debris should be removed in time.
