How To Choose A Single-Phase Meter and Precautions For Installation?

The single-phase watt-hour meter is a kind of watt-hour meter. The main structure of the watt-hour meter is composed of a voltage coil, a current coil, a turntable, a rotating shaft, a brake magnet, a gear, and a meter. Single-phase meters are generally used for civilian use, connected to 220V equipment. Then let's take a look at how to choose a single-phase meter and the precautions for installation.

1. How to choose a single-phase meter?

1). Determination of single-phase meter type

The existing single-phase electricity meters on the market are mainly classified into single-phase electronic electricity meters, single-phase prepaid electricity meters, single-phase multi-rate electricity meters, single-phase electronic carrier electricity meters, etc., and it is necessary to determine the basic type requirements when selecting.

2). Basic selection of single-phase meter current, etc.

The commonly used current specifications of single-phase meters are 5(60)A, 10(60)A, 20(80)A. When selecting the current of the meter, it is necessary to consider that the current cannot be lower than the basic current and cannot be higher than the maximum rated current. For example, 350W computers, 300W TVs, 1800W air conditioners, 400W refrigerators and other basic household electricity needs of about 200W, then we can calculate the current = (350+300+1800+400+200)W/220V. 13.9A, considering the need to add electrical appliances in the future, it is recommended to choose a 10(60)A meter.

2. Attention should be paid to the installation of single-phase electricity meters:

Check whether the seals on the two ears of the watch cover are complete. After the electric energy meter is installed, close the isolation switch and turn on the light to check.

The electric energy meter should be installed in a dry and stable place, avoid direct sunlight, and avoid humidity, heat, mildew, smoke, dust, sand, and corrosive gases. The position should be installed correctly. If there is a significant inclination, it is easy to cause problems such as inaccurate measurement, stop-going, or idling. Should be installed higher, but also easy to read the meter.

The wiring must be connected according to the wiring diagram, and at the same time, pay attention to tightening the screws and tightening the small hooks in the junction box.
