Functions and Advantages of IC Card Prepaid Smart Meter
1. Alarm function. When the balance power displayed on meter less than the set alarm value”10”, The “Warning” under screen will flash. The “Warning” light turn on, means users should buy power in time. But users can still have power supply normally. When the balance power is less than set alarm value “5”, the relay will trip, and this is to remind users to purchase electricity for the second time. The users will still have power supply if they swipe the card again. But when the balance value is “0”, The relay in the meter automatically trips to cut off the power consumption of the user's load. The user must purchase electricity from the energy meter before the power can be restored.
2. Overdraft function: When the overdraft power is set (the overdraft power is set by the power management department), when the remaining power in the meter is 0, the relay of the electric energy meter will trip. When the zero-crossing power (negative power) is greater than or equal to the overdraft power, the energy meter will automatically trip again. The user must purchase electricity from the electric energy meter before the electricity can be restored.
3. Record function. The remaining power decreases with the increase of power consumption. If the remaining power is zero but the relay is not disconnected due to a fault, the power that continues to be used will be recorded as negative power. After paying for electricity again, the negative electricity will be automatically deducted from the meter.
4. Load control function. The electric meter automatically monitors the load situation, and the sum of the load of the equipment that is using electricity in the user's home cannot be greater than the large load that the electric meter can bear, so as to avoid damage to the electric meter and burnt wires. Electrical appliances with heavy loads should avoid using electricity at the same time. Single-phase meter 5(25)A or 5(30)A heavy load: 5kWh; 10(50)A heavy load: 10 kWh.
5. Fault self-detection function. The electric energy meter has a fault self-detection function, which can prompt errors such as memory and relay in time.
6. Card reminder function. When inserting a card into the electric energy meter, the electric energy meter will give a card insertion prompt. When the card is inserted successfully, the LCD of the electric energy meter displays "success". When the energy meter and the card are exchanging data, the built-in buzzer will sound, and the buzzer will be turned off after the exchange is completed, so the user waits for the buzzer to turn off when inserting the card to purchase electricity before pulling out the card.
When the electricity purchase card is inserted and the electricity is purchased successfully, the LCD of the electricity meter displays "success", and the electricity meter displays the remaining electricity in the meter for 5 seconds before the electricity purchase and then displays the remaining electricity in the meter after the electricity purchase for 5 seconds.
