Characteristics of Photovoltaic Glass
Like ordinary glass, photovoltaic glass is also made of quartz sand, soda ash, dolomite, limestone, and other raw materials. Compared with ordinary glass, photovoltaic glass has different iron content, and the difference in iron content determines the difference in light transmittance of glass. The iron content of the photovoltaic glass is about 0.02-0.05%, and the light transmittance is generally about 91.5%. in the spectral range of 300-2500nm, the light transmittance is higher than 91%. The iron content of the ordinary glass is more than 0.2%, and the light transmittance is between 88% and 89%, so the production of photovoltaic glass requires the use of quartz sand with lower iron content.
Due to the relatively harsh environment of photovoltaic glass, photovoltaic glass needs to have better high-temperature resistance. The photovoltaic glass needs to have certain corrosion resistance for outdoor acid rain environments, and its impact resistance is also stronger than ordinary glass. Manufacturing photovoltaic glass has higher requirements than the manufacturing process of glass factories, and it is difficult for ordinary glass factories to be converted into photovoltaic glass factories.
Our company can help customers to choose a suitable photovoltaic cell, design and install the photovoltaic cell, and customize the solar power remote monitoring system which is also cost-effective. You can see how much power you generate, how much money you earn, and how much carbon footprint you save in one dashboard, and the system will also alarm you when it needs maintenance.
